Truly amazing, I’m not a big fried fish guy but I thought hey why not support a local business. Never liked hush puppies before coming here. Wow. The catfish was fried fresh and pipping hot. The service was amazing Renea helped me out with what to order and was attentive. The onion rings were also delicious and some of the best I’ve had in Georgia. If you’re in the area come check out Jim pa’s for some delicious food and excellent service.
Just tried for the first time today off a whim passing by with a friend. We were driving around the area and I saw the sign out on the horizon, and mentioned "Hey, you've eaten there before right and said it's good, I'll have to go sometime." Friend told me to stop where we were and get into the parking lot and he'd buy me lunch there, no hesitation. PERFECT Catfish and AMAZING hushpuppies, friend didn't do hyping it up any justice, it was better than anyone could describe in words. I will be making many a happy return soon.
The best onion rings anywhere! My wife and I enjoy the full flavor of whole catfish. Robin is always polite and knows our favorite menu items.
With out a doubt I would go with with any catfish meal. The chicken and waffles are out of this world. The only downside is getting in and out of their location. There are only two ways to pull into their parking lot. Driving Cobb parkway north or coming off McCollum parkway from Kennesaw State University. The Location makes it hard to get to. THE FOOD IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.
We stopped by today and had the 2 piece catfish and chicken and got the tenders instead of bone-in chicken and we were very pleased with the size and taste of the tenders. It was so much food we had enough to box up and take home. We also got the clam strips which were decent. The onion rings are some of the best I've ever had. What really caught my eye was the Food inspection report was 100 and the place was clean and inviting. Staff was great and the owner was friendly and spoke to me and we certainly felt welcome. We will be back!
Feels like an old southern diner of a specialty food, and that food is catfish. Took a minute for it to cook but the catfish sliders I got were amazing. Been trying to get my friends to come here since ive been, I need to come back!
If you are on a diet. For the love of God, CHEAT!!! It will be so worth it. This by far, is the best fried food in GA. The catfish and the chicken is cooked to perfection. I don't get down to that area too often. But, when I do. I say, the hell with my diet. And the onion rings... OMG! That batter is to die for! The atmosphere? Who freakin' cares!! You come for the food. And you will come again. Don't expect fast food. They cook it fresh when you order it. Believe me it's worth the wait. I can't wait to go back and cheat again!
The shrimp was large and perfectly cooked, crisp, and not greasy. The onion rings were near perfect, and the coleslaw was above average. There is plenty of food at a fair price. I would recommend this place to family and friends and would go back.
